You have purchased one or more Norvell spray tans to develop a tan on your skin. To help achieve your desired results, please read and sign the following material carefully.

1. A Norvell tan will not prevent your skin from burning in the natural sun or in a tanning bed. A Norvell tan does not contain sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while UV tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin. Please take the proper precautions when tanning with UV light exposure.

2. For best results, wait 4-6 hours after spray tanning before showering or engaging in any activity that will cause you to perspire. This will allow your tan to fully develop and will ensure the longest results.

3. The Norvell booth is designed to provide as even a tan as possible. However, users will be different heights and shapes, and may stand in different positions. It is possible you will find some areas of your tan lighter than others. In most cases, these differences are minor and disappear as your tan fades naturally. Norvell is also used with airbrush tanning units given by a spray tan artist. The differences mentioned above for the booth could still apply but are less likely.

4. More than one Norvell session per 12 hours is not recommended.

5. All of the components of the Norvell tanning solution have been used in cosmetics for decades and have proven to be safe for the skin. If you have ever had any adverse effects utilizing self-tanning products or moisturizers, consult a healthcare professional before using the product.

6. The FDA has approved DHA (the active ingredient in sunless spray tanning) for external application to the skin. For misting applications, the FDA recommends protective measures to prevent eye contact, inhalation or ingestion. To ensure complete protection, the FDA suggests wearing protective eyewear, nose filters, ear plugs, lip balm and undergarments.

7. Norvell sunless spray tanning solution which includes a cosmetic bronzer is water soluble and will be removed after the next wash in cold water. However, in some instances, the DHA in the tanning solution may permanently stain undergarments worn during the spray session.

8. Tanning solution cannot penetrate hair follicles but many customers wear disposable hair nets (provided by the salon) to keep the solution from getting in their hair. There is no evidence that the tanning solution can change hair color.

9. If you have any history of asthma or a respiratory condition consult a physician before spray tanning and do not use if you have had any past allergic reactions to DHA products.

10. I, the undersigned, understand and will comply with all instructions for proper use of the Norvell spray tan service. I am using these services at my own discretion.

AFTERCARE

Wait before showering: Follow the instructions provided by your technician Typically, this can range from 1 to 8 hours after the spray tan application.

Avoid sweating and water: During the development time, try to avoid activities that can cause sweating or getting wet

Wear loose clothing: Tight clothing can rub against your skin and potentially remove some of the tan.

Moisturize: Keeping your skin hydrated is crucial for maintaining your tan. Avoid exfoliation: Exfoliation can cause the tan to fade more quickly.

Touch-ups: Depending on how long you want your tan to last, you may need touch-ups every 1-2 weeks.

Patchiness: Patchiness is common when a spray tan fades particularly around the wrist, feet, and other frequently washed areas. Patchiness can also occur in areas where skin is more dry.

Allergic Reaction: DHA - 2 in every 100,000 people are allergic to DHA. However, most reactions to fake tan (spray tan or self tan) come from contact dermatitis and can be itchy but not life-threatening
