Operators/hosts of establishments or events where food or drink is served indoors must require all patrons age 12 and older to show proof that they are Fully Vaccinated before entering any indoor portion of a facility. Please see Health Order C19-07y Appendix B, Section 2 for acceptable proof of vaccination documents. Event organizers are responsible for verifying the vaccination status of their guests.

This requirement is in addition to the Health Order for Universal Indoor Masking, which requires all individuals, including those who are fully vaccinated, wear a Well-Fitted Mask inside a facility. People may remove their Well-Fitted Mask while actively eating or drinking. People are urged to be seated at a table or positioned at a stationary counter or place while eating or drinking. If food or drink is being consumed indoors, all windows and doors must be open to increase ventilation.

Due to a nearby ruptured water main, and subsequent damage to the Park, Stern Grove meadows and the Trocadero Clubhouse are currently closed. Until we receive an updated assessment of when the damage will be repaired, we are unable to confirm upcoming 2021 dates. Please continue to check this webpage for updates.

Reservations for Lake Merced Boathouse, Sunnyside Conservatory, and Stern Grove Clubhouse (Trocadero) can be requested starting one year in advance of your event date. Please note, wedding requests at these sites receive priority based on historical precedent.

These sites cannot be reserved more than one year in advance. These sites are highly desirable, so we strongly recommend you complete and submit the below request form exactly one year in advance of your preferred date. For example, if you want to reserve March 1, 2021, you should complete and submit the form on March 1, 2020.

Request Forms Received EXACTLY One Year in Advance: Should we receive more than one request form for the same date, time, and location our office will conduct a randomized lottery to determine who will receive the reservation. Wedding requests will recieve priority. IMPORTANT: Only one request form can be entered into the randomized lottery, per event, per date.

Request Forms Received LESS THAN One Year in Advance: Request forms received less than one year in advance are processed on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Application Processing

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:  The above information is complete and correct to the best of my knowledge.  I understand that the permit is granted on the basis of the information supplied in the application, and that the permit may be denied or revoked if found to be incorrect and/or incomplete. If my event changes, I must file a new amended application. I further understand that the City may monitor the event, and that failure to comply with any conditions placed on the permit approval or local law my result in the immediate revocation of the permit.
