Participant Information

Introduction

Have you been inspired by our Major Events or by one of our players? Maybe you see yourself as a future Wheelchair Tennis Champion? If yes, we would love to see you at one of our Wheelchair Tennis Initiative: Talent Spot days.

The LTA's Wheelchair Tennis Initiative: Talent Spot is the Wheelchair Performance Pathways Team Talent Initiative Programme, supporting players on their first steps in Wheelchair Tennis, to becoming a Wheelchair Tennis Champion.

Our goal is to find our next Wheelchair Tennis Champions, where we already have exceptional elite performers in our sport: Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid, Andy Lapthorne and Lucy Shuker. All of our current elite performers started at the exact same position as you today and have gone on to achieve major Grand Slam and Paralympic success.

We want to provide you with visible and seamless routes up each age and stage of our pathway from participation at grassroots, to elite performance, where you could have the opportunity to represent Great Britain at Major Events and Paralympic Games.

Could you be our next Wheelchair Tennis Champion? If yes, we would love to see you at one of our days.
