We are now accepting applications for the spring 2020 Women of Chapman Scholar Program*. This semester our talented Women of Chapman Distinguished Artist* is producer Edward Saxon, known for The Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia, and Adaptation. (*Gender does not play a role in the application process. The opportunity to be a Women of Chapman Scholar is open to all genders. **This particular appointment is funded by the Women of Chapman, a philanthropic support group of Chapman University.)
If selected to participate as a Women of Chapman Scholar, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with Mr. Saxon. Scholars should have a work in progress, either a screenplay, a concept in development, or footage suitable for an episodic form to work on during the semester. Scholars will meet individually with Mr. Saxon every other Tuesday afternoon (meetings will take place between 2 to 7:30 p.m., with the last meeting slot at 6:45 p.m.) When signing up for this program, please make sure your schedule allows you to be available for a 45-minute meeting between this time frame.
Scholars are also required to enroll in Industry Insiders, FTV 310-01/510-01 (Tuesdays, 7 - 9:45 p.m.) with Professor Alex Rose. You do not have to be enrolled in this course to apply. However, if you are selected, you will have to enroll.
