Audition Registration: My Son Pinocchio JR

Roles are available for ages 3-18. Many roles with lines and solos or featured dancers are available for youth age 5-18.

Performances are January 14-17 2016 at Dare to Dream Theatre (634 N 10th St Manitowoc) and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan (January 16).

Preview performances at 6:30 December 1 (Manitowoc Library) December 2 (Lester Library) and December 3 (Mead Library)

Audition slots are:

Saturday October 24 10:00 am- 2:00 PM at Jakes Cafe

NOTE:

Actors wishing to be considered for a Principal or Solo role, please prepare 16 bars of a Musical Theater Peice that showcases your strength. Ipod Dock & Piano will be provided.

All actors will be asked to sing a familiar song for the music director, whether they are interested in a solo or not.

Auditions consist of singing with the music director, learning a short dance sequence from the show, and completing an acting excersise or reading from the script.

Actors will only be called when working on their scenes. Depending on the size of the role, some actors may rehearse more than 2 times a week.

Every effort will be made to assign actors to the cast rehearsing in their county, but it is likely that actors may be asked to attend some rehearsals in locations outside their home town. But, it is possible that an actor cast as a principal or Secondary character may have ALL their rehearsals out of town, if that is where they fit best. Actors not able to do this may be limited in consideration for specific roles.

PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS, per Family

IF YOUR YOUTH IS CAST AS AN ACTOR IN A DARE TO DREAM PRODUCTION, A FAMILY MEMBER WILL BE EXPECTED TO ASSIST THRU THE RUN OF THE PRODUCTION IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

Actor Participation fee of $50 due at your first rehearsal. (This cost helps cover script rental, costume, prop, and makeup budget, rehearsal CD, facility rental, and Cast party. Due for EACH ACTOR.)
Active weekly participation in Stage Families by completing 10 total projects during the rehearsal process. (each family must assist with a volunteer project from the weekly list each week or make a $25 donation to buy out of a week.) Actors may opt to complete a full buyout of ALL offstage participation for $250/family.
sign up for and complete 5 tech week/performance duties for rehearsals and performances (sign up or Volunteer Coordinator will assign.)
Provide required costume pieces for your actor (may include pants, shoes, tights, socks etc.)
Assist with Strike after the final performance.
GOAL: Sell 10-15 tickets to family and friends
