Join rangers in this beginner-friendly program to learn about the basics of kayaking and kayaking safety, and then get a chance to try your skills in the shallow waters of Fish Pass!
Bring: Clothing that can get wet, a change of clothes, sun protection, water, and a snack (rinse off water if you prefer). All other equipment will be provided by the park, including kayaks, personal floatation devices, and paddles.
Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is $5 for everyone 13 years and older, free for 12 and under.
Note: It is recommended that you reserve your day-use entry for this program, as we often sell out on weekends: https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/mustang-island-state-park/r/facilityDetails.do?contractCode=TX&parkId=1200042&_ga=2.107855371.807715491.1687633671-1761041738.1686842099&pk_vid=d1250f09e5796c1f168763370065596f
