Fishing with a Ranger

Throw out a line and catch a good time!

Don't know how to fish? We can teach you! Don't have any equipment? Fishing poles will be available to borrow through our free Tackle Loaner Program on a first-come, first-served basis. We'll even supply the bait! No fishing license is required. All ages and abilities are welcome!

Bring: Sun protection, hydration, close-toed shoes. You are welcome to bring your own equipment and bait.

Meet: Long Fishing Pier.

Cost: Free with park admission. Admission is $5 for each person 13 or older, and free for each person 12 or younger.

Due to limited day-use numbers, it is recommended that you reserve your day-use entry for this program
Children must be accompanied by an adult. All ages are welcome.

Due to the outdoor nature of this program, it is dependent on weather conditions. The program will be canceled if any of the following conditions are present: • there is a lightning strike within 6 miles within 30 minutes of the program or during the program. • there is a 60% chance of heavy rain or thunderstorms forecasted 12 hours in advance.
