Fishing and boating are some of the most popular recreational activities in Aransas County. That can result in a lot of trash, lures and fishing line washing up along the shoreline.
Join a ranger in one of our kayaks to help us clean up St. Charles Bay! We provide all equipment needed (kayak, paddles, PFD, trash bags and grabbers), however participants can provide their own kayak if they would like. Please notify us if you plan on bringing your own kayak. You can expect to spend about 1-1.5 hours on the water.
Age and Skill Recommendations: This program is recommended for those that are at least 8 years old. Minors must paddle with an adult in a tandem kayak. For very small kiddos, they can sit with you in a single, however we have a very limited supply of single kayaks. Some paddling experience is also recommended.
After registering, you will receive an email on how to prepare for the trash pickup, including information on proper clothing. Please allow up to 48 hours to receive the email.
This program is weather-dependent. An email address and phone number must be provided when registering in case we have to cancel.
