Beach Fishing Basics

Not sure where to start with shore fishing? Join a ranger-led fishing program to get started.

Bring: Dress for the weather. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and water shoes recommended. Equipment and bait are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is $5 for everyone 13 years and older, free for 12 and under.

After entering the park meet a ranger at the outdoor classroom. The walkway over the dunes provides some accessibility improvement but there is soft sand on the beach side of the walk mat. Beach wheelchairs are available to borrow, just check in at headquarters with your driver's license or state ID and one can be delivered to the day-use parking lot.
