OTR/L, SIPT, RCTC, DIR® Certificate, Director, Clinical Director, is an accomplished occupational therapist with great affinity for learning and understanding the human brain.

Children are showing an increase in difficult behaviors that are often challenging to assess and manage. These behaviors may be a manifestation of emotional or attachment disorders. Caregivers, therapists, teachers, and psychologists may struggle to develop intervention programs. This workshop targets the different layers of emotional growth in children, more specifically the attachment process and its influence on development will be discussed. We will explore the background and theory of development and attachment with focus on assessment and intervention with the support of video case studies. Course participants will learn a behavioral management style known as “Maude’s Meltdown Recipe”.
