Spring classes begin February 3rd and run through mid- May, culminating in a public reading and reception. Fees are due at the beginning of the month and are pro-rated for spring break (Asheville City Schools) or the rare occasion I need to be out of town. Credit is given if I need to cancel because of illness or inclement weather. Class is held even if school is out for snow/ice unless road conditions are still hazardous by the late afternoon. Cancellations will be emailed and posted on the True-Ink.com website.
My rates vary according to curriculum and the amount of time I put into individual feedback of student work. At the upper grade level, I read and give feedback on longer pieces of work from students who need more in-depth response, all outside of the class time. At the 6th grade level, I still offer individual feedback but the pieces aren't likely to be as long, nor the concepts as in-depth. But it's an inexact science! I've had 4th graders who write volumes and have an incredibly sophisticated (for their age) sense of basic writing craft.
Upon registration, you will receive an email with a questionaire for both the student and the parent. Please bring these with you to the first day of class.
Classes fill quickly and I do keep a waiting list. However, I also reserve the right to cancel a class for lack of registration.

Do you have several writers in your family? Register more than one student per family and receive a 10% discount. Registration is accepted through the day before the first class session.
